The Border Artists
Tom Gerend has lived in New Mexico since 1973 and finds it a real challenge to capture the beauty of the state in his watercolors. He is noted for the play of light in his landscapes and his depictions of historic old homes and churches.
Tom is a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society, the Rio Bravo Watercolorists and the Border Artists. He paints regularly with the Artamants, a local art group.
His paintings are in the collections of the Public Service Company of New Mexico, Mountain View Regional Hospital and Memorial Medical Center. He has been an award winner in the Sierra-Providence Arts International Show as well as the Mesilla Valley Mall Gallery shows.
