Dan Tapper

Dan TapperBorn in Philadelphia, PA, Dan Tapper spent most of his adult life in Ithaca, NY. He retired as Professor of Physiology from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University in 1996.

Influenced by the native carvers of the Northwest, he began studying stone carving at the Museum School in Rochester, NY. He moved to Las Cruces in 1998 and has exhibited in Las Cruces at The Adobe Patio, the Museum of Fine Arts, Glenn Cutter and JME galleries and at the Fiesta of Arts juried show at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum.

He has also shown at the International Museum in El Paso, TX and at several Southwest Stone Carving Symposia in Jemez Springs, NM.
